Chris Morin aka Chrix Morix is a content editor and freelance features writer.
In addition to running Ominocity.com, a news blog that publishes daily creative content, Morin’s work has also appeared in numerous publications, including Planet S Magazine, Prairie Dog Magazine, Briarpatch, Exclaim, The Toronto Star, Broken Pencil, News Talk Radio, Papirmasse and more.
In addition to interviewing literally hundreds of bands from Canada and all over the world, Morin has covered and reviewed dozens of international music festivals, including Sled Island, MoSoFest, NXNE, Festival d’été de Québec, Regina Folk Festival, Sask Jazz Festival, End of the Road Festival (UK), Incubate (Netherlands), Liverpool Sound City (UK), The Great Escape (UK) and more.
Morin is also a part-time illustrator and graphic designer, and has worked with clients such as Hardpressed Studios, Vangelis Tavern, Amigos Cantina, MoSoFest, The Palomino, Jale/vive music and Saskatoon Rec League.
Additionally, Morin has worked with bands such as Slow Down Molasses, Whitehorse, Uncle Bad Touch, This Hisses, The Spoils, Shooting Guns, The Young Benjamins and Murder Ford Monument.
Exhibitions include the HTMElles Festival, the Montreal Anarchist Bookfair.
In addition to working a day job and self-publishing his own work as zines and tour diaries, Morin also plays guitar and bass for Slow Down Molasses and The Eyebats.
